About The Position

Freight Breakers is hiring motivated, dependable Material Handlers in Romeoville! This is a production-based position where your effort directly impacts your earnings. The more work you complete, the more you can make. Employees may be released earlier depending on daily workload, production goals, and completion of assigned work.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation.
• Steel-toe shoes required.
• Must arrive on time and be present for all scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50–100 lbs.
• Must be able to perform physical work for extended periods.
• Must be able to work consistently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to meet or exceed production standards after training.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Stack boxes from trailers onto wooden pallets.
• Build stable, organized pallets as you unload freight.
• Use a pallet jack to move it to the designated floor/staging area.
• Bring a new pallet back to the trailer and repeat the process.
• Work on a variety of loading and unloading assignments.
• Move pallets to and from designated staging areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow receiving and shipping policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Follow attendance and call-off procedures.
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Meet or exceed production standards after training.
• Work overtime when needed.
