About The Position

The Lumber Yard Sales Associate provides helpful customer service, processes sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and performs cash register operations. The position supports store operations by engaging customers, identifying their needs and project requirements, and providing service consistent with Helpful Customer Service behaviors and mystery shop standards. The associate performs a range of store duties, including cashiering, merchandising, receiving and stocking merchandise, processing shipments, maintaining store cleanliness, and operating equipment. The role also supports sales and productivity goals and attends mandatory monthly store meetings.

Responsibilities

Provide amazing customer service while using strong sales skills.
Perform store tasks including cashiering, product placement, receiving merchandise, processing shipments, stocking, maintaining store cleanliness, making sales, and operating equipment.
Work with the management team to achieve established sales and productivity goals.
Help maintain store equipment in good working condition.
Work with management to develop and execute ideas and activities to increase store traffic.
Ensure end-caps, dump bins, and feature displays are properly merchandised and maintained.
Follow Helpful Customer Service behaviors and mystery shop standards so each customer receives amazing service.
Greet customers as they enter the store.
Answer phone calls.
Maintain awareness of promotions and advertisements.
Ring up transactions accurately and efficiently and maintain all cash at registers.
Keep the register area orderly and supplies stocked.
Encourage customers to open an Ace Rewards card.
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
Attend mandatory monthly store meetings.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by store management.
