About The Position
This role is responsible for providing new and precut lumber to jobs. The essential duties include setting up various jigs, cutting and assembling lumber components, performing safety inspections on materials, procuring new lumber, building pallets and shipping boxes, unloading and storing lumber, and maintaining a clean lumber yard. The position also involves operating a forklift and adhering to all safety procedures.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- No experience necessary
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to drive a forklift or learn
Responsibilities
- Set up dome wedge jigs.
- Set up dome and wall jigs.
- Cut dome and wall ribs and assemble dome wedges.
- Performs safety inspection of reused walkboards, plywood 2”x 6” bracing, dome and wall ribs.
- Procures new lumber.
- Builds diaphragm pallets, shipping boxes etc.
- Unloads, counts and stores new and used lumber.
- Clean up lumber yard.
- Operates forklift.
- Observe and maintain all safety procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned.
