About The Position

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment safely, maintaining the cleanliness of the yard, warehouse, and public areas, and adhering to company policies. The position involves providing customer service, delivering products, ensuring proper product signage and storage, and assisting with the unloading of building materials. The Lumber Yard Attendant plays a role in supporting member-owners by providing products and services that contribute to the growth of Western Canadian communities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to obtain a forklift license.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy items.
Honest and trustworthy.
Results-oriented.

Nice To Haves

A 3A license would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Sweep yard regularly and ensure yard, warehouse, and public areas are free of obstructions and litter.
Adhere to Prairie Sky Co-op policies and procedures and participate in loss prevention.
Provide information, assistance, and service to customers to promote sales and meet their needs.
Deliver product professionally and efficiently as directed by the manager.
Ensure all product is signed and/or priced and stored appropriately in its allocated space.
Assist in the unloading of a variety of building materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
