About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., a leading producer of YellaWood brand Pressure-Treated Pine, is seeking Lumber Taggers for a full-time position. The company is the industry's leading producer of pressure-treated lumber products for D-I-Y retail home centers, pro dealers, and other retail building-related segments. Their YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine is widely known to consumers throughout the South for various outdoor building projects. Great Southern also distributes a large volume of products from many of the best-known brands in the industry. With 15 full-service treating plants and several production facilities, Great Southern Wood is strategically located to provide prompt and efficient service to lumber yards and building supply stores throughout the South, Midwest, and Northeast.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous production experience preferred
- Lumber experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Loads/unloads materials
- Stacks/moves lumber
- Assists in assembling fence panels and other products using nail gun
- Attaches product tag labels to merchandise, material, or product with hand held industrial stapler machine
- Checks items for proper identification
- Reports quality deficiencies, shortages, and/or damaged goods
- Keeps record of inventory and check items for proper identification
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods and use hands to handle materials
- Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
