Requirements

  • Strong communication and people skills.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Comfort using computers, Microsoft Office, phones, and standard office equipment.

  • Assist the warehouse team.

Responsibilities

  • Count lumber-related products on a 4-6 week cycle according to the count schedule.
  • Collect and process cut sheets from the yard and surrounding areas.
  • Research inventory and committed quantities to ensure accurate counts.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies, including items showing on the “Negative Quantities” report.
  • Enter inventory changes and print RPI reports for each count sheet.
  • Track and post results on the master spreadsheet.
  • Keep cut sheets and RPI records organized by date for two months.
  • Work closely with the Lumber Buyer to resolve significant discrepancies.
  • Check in with the Lumber Buyer before leaving each day for any priority counts.
