About The Position

As a Luggage/Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for assisting guests as the first point of contact and providing superior guest service by parking and retrieving vehicles. This position requires full-time with flexible availability, including the ability to work two overnight shifts per week. This is subject to change based on scheduling needs.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be 21 years of age.
  • Knowledge of local roads and routes to area attractions and points of interest.
  • Having a proper, valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations.
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and services is a bonus.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
  • The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
  • Transport luggage to and from guest rooms efficiently and safely.
  • Tag, store, and retrieve luggage in the luggage room as needed.
  • Provide directions, hotel information, and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Coordinate with front desk and bell staff to ensure timely service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bell desk and storage areas.
  • Handle guest requests such as arranging transportation or delivering packages.
  • Report any lost or damaged luggage to the appropriate department.
  • Uphold hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while providing great customer service.
  • Open and close car doors while assisting with luggage or other belongings.
  • Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lot.
  • Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return.
  • Organize and file paperwork regarding guests' vehicles and daily transactions.
