About The Position

Our fleet-as-a-service model combines well-maintained vehicles, driver support, data, and operational expertise to support leading rideshare platforms and deliver a high-quality experience for drivers and partners. The LUCID On-Site Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LUCID Driver Program at the local market level. This is a hands-on, fully on-site role responsible for driver support and performance, fleet coordination, program monitoring, and communication with LUCID/Uber, vendors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, highly communicative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in management, fleet management, logistics, transportation, or a related operational role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • Computer and technology savvy, with the ability to work with operational systems and performance dashboards.
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable managing people, providing feedback, and holding others accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily on-site experience for LUCID drivers.
  • Conduct in-person orientations for new drivers and ensure all required documentation and contracts are completed.
  • Ensure drivers understand program expectations, vehicle operations, and Uber requirements.
  • Monitor driver attendance, shift participation, and compliance.
  • Provide driver support while maintaining accountability and professional standards.
  • Monitor driver performance and productivity throughout the day.
  • Track key performance indicators including acceptance rate, cancellation rate, earnings per hour, and trips per hour.
  • Coach drivers who are not meeting expectations and escalate continued performance issues when necessary.
  • Encourage drivers to reposition to areas with stronger demand when appropriate.
  • Maintain regular communication with the LUCID/Uber team and respond promptly to requests and escalations.
  • Monitor Grafana to ensure vehicles are actively collecting LUCID data.
  • Investigate low data-collection performance and take corrective action.
  • Identify and escalate issues that cannot be resolved on-site.
  • Maintain accurate awareness of the location and status of all LUCID vehicles.
  • Conduct regular physical lot checks.
  • Ensure BOS accurately reflects vehicle locations, assignments, status, and relevant notes.
  • Coordinate vehicle swaps and replacements as needed.
  • Monitor vehicle readiness and availability for upcoming driver shifts.
  • Follow up on vehicles undergoing repairs, diagnostics, recalls, or other service.
  • Coordinate with dealerships, body shops, and fleet vendors to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Ensure vehicle damage, repairs, maintenance, and other relevant information are properly documented.
  • Update the VGM Maintenance Reporting Sheet daily and ensure information is accurate and consistent with BOS.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues proactively.
  • Maintain clear visibility of vehicle availability, driver assignments, fleet status, upcoming orientations, and outstanding issues.
  • Document important events, issues, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure operational issues are properly tracked through resolution.
