About The Position
Sterling West Chrysler GMC is seeking motivated Lube & Tire Technicians to join their family-owned dealership. This role is responsible for performing essential maintenance services to ensure vehicles run safely and efficiently. It serves as an excellent entry point for a career in automotive service, with the potential to grow into an Automotive Technician role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old due to insurance requirements
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Some hands-on experience performing basic vehicle maintenance strongly preferred
- Automotive shop experience is a plus but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Coachable and able to take direction from senior technicians
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes following manufacturer specifications
- Rotate, mount, and balance tires
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
- Identify potential vehicle concerns and report findings to service advisors or technicians
- Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all work performed
- Follow all dealership and industry safety procedures
- Complete required training provided by the dealership to continue developing your skills
