About The Position
McCarthy Chevy Olathe is seeking to hire a full-time quick Automotive Lube Technician. This role is responsible for performing basic vehicle maintenance work as assigned and in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to add to their technician experience in a busy, fast-paced repair shop or for those interested in the automotive industry to start their career. A new Technician Tool Program provides $1,000 in tools to new technicians.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Automotive technician experience required
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform basic functions such as: oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, replace wiper blades, etc as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with service team and assigned service advisor regarding the status and any changes to repair order
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Establish a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner
