Lube Technician Full Time
About The Position
Cornerstone Auto Group is hiring a full-time Lube Technician at Cornerstone Chevrolet Stillwater in Stillwater, Minnesota. The role performs vehicle maintenance and inspection work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards. The technician replaces oil and air filters, checks and replenishes vehicle fluids, identifies additional safety or service work that may be needed, and keeps customers’ vehicles and the shop clean. The technician also participates in manufacturer-sponsored training, follows applicable safety and regulatory requirements, and uses tools and safety equipment appropriately. The position is listed as entry level, with a high school education requirement and an hourly salary range of $18.00–$20.00. It is a full-time role with a swing shift and a 40-hour workweek. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working on all types of vehicles.
- Current, valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the insurance company’s standards.
- Willingness and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Replace oil and air filters.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish fluids as necessary.
- Examine assigned vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Participate in and keep up with manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Understand, stay current on, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know requirements.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and wear appropriate safety equipment.
- Ensure customers’ cars are kept clean.
- Keep shop areas neat and clean.
