About The Position

Blake Ford is seeking an experienced Lube Technician who is interested in building a future in the automotive field. The candidate should be willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment, and be reliable and detail oriented. The role involves performing routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, identifying additional services based on inspection findings, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

One year of experience in a service department.
High school diploma or GED.
Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
Effective analytical and communication skills, with eagerness to improve.
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in varying temperatures.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification or a technical degree.
State inspection license.

Responsibilities

Drain and replace engine oil and replace oil filters.
Check and replenish vital fluids, including coolant, transmission, brake, and power steering fluids.
Perform multi-point inspections, check tire pressure and tread depth, and lubricate grease fittings.
Replace cabin air filters, engine air filters, windshield wiper blades, and light bulbs.
Identify and recommend additional services to customers based on vehicle inspection findings.
Clean the work area, maintain tools and equipment, and follow safety guidelines.
