Requirements

  • Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
  • Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)

Responsibilities

  • Draining motor oil
  • Changing oil filters
  • Changing filters
  • Changing grease chassis fitting
  • Inspecting and topping off fluids
  • Performing flushes
  • Adjusting tire pressure/tire rotation
  • Washing windshields
  • Perform a variety of manual duties, usually working in our shop and transferring from one location to another or from one task to another, where demands require assistance of workmen with varied experienced and ability to work without close supervision.
  • Practice safety rules
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Safe use of hand & power tools
  • Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
  • Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and tools are properly accounted for, used for correct purpose and are maintained.
  • Serve as backup to other positions at the direction of management; and other duties as assigned.
  • Change vehicle oil
  • Check the transmission fluid levels
  • Inspect various belts and filters
  • Inspect engine for leaks
  • Check air levels and gauges
  • Install new batteries, wiper blades and air filters.
  • Pick up and carry various tools and materials as needed
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.
