About The Position

Sams Automotive LLC, a Valvoline Express Care™ operator, is hiring a Lube Technician to provide preventive maintenance services and help customers maintain vehicle safety. Technicians inspect vehicles, explain findings and potential needs to customers, and perform hands-on maintenance while delivering knowledgeable, professional customer service. The role requires working effectively with a team in a fast-paced environment and following safety procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Lube Technician in an automotive service environment.
Strong knowledge of vehicle lubrication systems, including oil types, filters, and fluid specifications.
Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in automotive maintenance.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic equipment and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
Bilingual in Spanish.
Sales experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
Inspect vehicles for signs of damage or wear and inform customers of potential issues or needed repairs.
Perform lubrication services accurately using appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques.
Keep detailed records of services performed, parts used, and recommendations made to customers.
Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issues as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store and maintain tools and equipment.
Provide professional customer service and address customers’ questions and concerns.
Stay current with industry trends and automotive technology and attend training sessions as required.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members to support efficient workflow and timely task completion.
