About The Position

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lube Technician to join their service team. The Lube Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and oil changes on a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role involves performing oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications, inspecting and topping off all vehicle fluids, conducting tire rotations, balancing tires, and checking tire pressure while advising on tire condition. The technician will also perform basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues, communicate with customers regarding services performed and recommendations, follow all safety protocols, and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of service bays, tools, and equipment. Additionally, the Lube Technician will assist other service technicians and team members to support efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a lube technician or in a similar automotive maintenance role is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance.
  • Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment, with the ability to learn new technologies and systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a technical or automotive training program is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
  • Inspect and top off all vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake, transmission, power steering, and windshield washer fluids.
  • Conduct tire rotations, balance tires, and check tire pressure, advising on tire condition and wear.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues or maintenance needs, reporting findings to service advisors or technicians.
  • Communicate with customers to explain services performed and provide recommendations for additional maintenance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of service bays, tools, and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
  • Assist other service technicians and team members as needed to support efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
