About The Position

The Lube and Tire Technician supports Budget Truck operations by performing preventive maintenance and light repairs on a fleet of box trucks and cargo vans. Work includes oil and fluid services, tire repairs and rotations, and completing tasks safely and with a focus on quality. Depending on experience, the technician may assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as skills develop. The role may also require driving a Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational needs. The position is based on-site in Mooresville, North Carolina, and supports vehicle safety, availability, and a reliable rental experience.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Class A, B, or C).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
• Comfort working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently stand, bend, reach, walk, sit, kneel, and enter, exit, and drive vehicles.
• Able to obtain DOT medical clearance.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program.

Responsibilities
