About The Position

Travis Association for the Blind/Austin Lighthouse (TAB) is a non-profit organization founded in 1934 with the mission to provide opportunities for economic and personal independence for people who are blind, visually impaired, or deaf blind by creating, sustaining, and improving employment. This role coordinates with San Diego Contract and involves building TL/LTL freight shipments for third-party logistics (3PL Distribution). The successful candidate will coordinate all activities with the Supply Lead, Wave Planner, and Warehouse Manager, ensuring accurate order fulfillment using an RF Gun and comparing gathered items and quantities against documentation and the warehouse management system. Responsibilities include proper packing and identification of shipments, preparing and processing shipments, maintaining records (e.g., manifest bill of lading), managing operating supplies and equipment, and preparing periodic activity reports for management.

Requirements

• Verifiable high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks, and also become forklift certified within the company and achieve certification within 30 days.
• Strong organizational and math skills
• Proficiency in the use of computers including good working skills with MS word, MS Excel, email and the internet
• A working knowledge of general warehouse management software will be a plus- current software used is Manhattan Scale

Nice To Haves

• 2 to 3yrs experience in warehouse logistics

Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic activity reports to share information with management
