About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional care to long-term care residents. This is a part-time position where you will conduct thorough wound assessments, develop personalized care plans, and perform various wound care procedures. You will continuously monitor patient progress, educate patients and staff, collaborate with physicians, maintain accurate records, and manage wound-related pain. Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in specified location.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care.
• Strong clinical skills in wound assessment and treatment, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop personalized care plans for each patient.
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures.
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ progress in wound healing.
• Educate both patients and facility staff on effective wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
• Work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Manage pain related to wounds to ensure patient comfort.
