About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN) for a travel assignment in Cordova, Alaska. This opportunity is ideal for nurses looking to work in a close-knit community healthcare environment while enjoying Alaska’s scenic outdoor lifestyle.
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN License required
- Minimum 2 years of LTC nursing experience required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
Nice To Haves
- PALS preferred
- Experience with PointClick EMR preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to long term care residents
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and EMR records
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate residents and families regarding care plans and treatments
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
