Provides care to patients under the supervision of a physical or occupational therapist. This role involves reviewing clinical data, collaborating with patients, families, and care providers on care plans, and performing therapeutic procedures. The Lpta will also participate in patient/family teaching, maintain competency, complete documentation, and communicate patient needs to therapists. Additionally, the role includes attending in-service programs and meetings, mentoring students and new employees, and providing feedback to management. Responsibilities extend to assisting with departmental planning, staff training, performance improvement, and clinical service development, as well as supporting departmental productivity. Adherence to DCH Standards, including performance, patient and employee satisfaction, financial standards, compliance requirements, and DCH Behavioral Standards, is essential. The role requires the use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and the intranet, along with adherence to all DCH Health System policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
