About The Position

Evening Position Available at Jasper General Nursing Home. This role involves monitoring resident conditions, administering medications, responding to emergencies, and assisting residents with daily living activities. The LPN will also be responsible for documentation, communication with other departments and physicians, and supervising nursing assistants.

Requirements

  • Ability to monitor resident condition and notify RN Supervisor, charge nurse, and/or physician promptly of changes in resident conditions.
  • Knowledge of the intended use and negative reactions of medications ordered for residents.
  • Awareness of emergency procedures of this facility in the event of cardiac arrest, diabetic reactions, airway obstruction, respiratory arrest/distress, seizures, head injuries, and fractures.
  • Ability to document medications, procedures, and resident condition per facility protocol.
  • Ability to receive verbal and phone orders from physicians/nurse practitioner and transcribe accordingly.
  • Competent in checking vital signs and documentation/reporting.

Responsibilities
