About The Position

We are seeking a full-time, day shift LPN to join our team at one of Rochester's most prestigious teaching hospitals and their affiliates. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to assigned patients, working alongside an excellent group of providers and staff dedicated to offering the best family-centered care. This role offers stable hours, Monday-Friday, free parking, and the opportunity to work in a competitive outpatient office setting. Mileage is applied to 'extended locations' and paid weekly. No overnights or weekends are required, and the schedule is made weekly.

Requirements

• Graduated from accredited school of nursing with license
• CPR certification
• 2+ years experience
• Current Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license
• At least 2 years of experience as a nurse
• Computer literate
• Have reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Outpatient experience a plus
• Experience in pediatrics is a plus
• Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Pediatrics experience preferred
• Ability to adjust to constant change

Responsibilities

• Care for patients of all ages
• Provide basic patient care and treatment
• Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications
• Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment
• Perform minor lab: Urine analysis, blood glucose, drug testing
• Preparing and administering injections
• Utilizing an EMR System
• Charting and reporting any changes in patient condition
• Educate and update patients on medical treatments
• Complete nursing rounds
• Call In prescriptions
