About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity Coronary Care Unit (CCU). Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports cardiac patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes while enhancing the patient experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in health care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide bedside patient care and monitor vital signs and cardiac status
- Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
- Collaborate with RNs and care teams on treatment plans
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and protocol compliance
- Document care in EMR/EHR systems
- Report changes in patient condition promptly
