About The Position
Lake Port Square is an upscale Senior Living community located on the shores of Lake Harris on a 78-acre nature preserve. As a life care community, Lake Port Square makes aging in place simple. Residents are able to seamlessly transition from independent living to assisted living, and skilled nursing care, as their healthcare needs change. The Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated.
Requirements
- RN/LPN currently licensed by the State of Florida.
- At least 6 months nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Geriatric involvement preferable.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications.
- Administers treatments, including, but not limited to: dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
- Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
- Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
- Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
- Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
- Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
- Keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.
- Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
- Assures continuity of services and care.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
