LPN VCC PRN (12hr Shifts)
About The Position
The licensed practical nurse performs selected acts for the promotion of health and in the care of persons who are ill, injured, or experiencing alterations in the normal health processes. Such performance requires substantial specialized skill, knowledge and judgment. All such nursing care shall be given under the direction of a registered nurse. Supportive of Village mission and values. The Village Care Center Nursing Pool is a staffing plan and program created to provide flexibility with the staffing assignment schedule throughout the Village Care Center. Associates working exclusively in the Pool are classified as PRN and scheduled as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of nursing
- Licensed practical nurse in the state of Missouri
- Excellent social, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Spatial, clerical and form perception, color discrimination, motor coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, and eye/hand/foot coordination
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills
- Multitasking and problem solving abilities
- Minimum of 1 year experience
- Must work a minimum of two (2) shifts per month.
- At least one (1) of these shifts must include a weekend shift (weekend shift is defined as beginning Saturday at 7:00a and ending at 7:00a on Monday).
- Will be scheduled to work at least three (3) of the six (6) holidays, as defined by JKV Associate Policy #327, per calendar year.
- Must use UKG to choose their preferred work shifts (hours/days) for the upcoming month by the 20th of the prior month, but no later than the 1st day of that month.
- Must sign up to work the shift in its entirety (7a-7p OR 7p-7a).
- Post-Offer Background Check and Health Screening Required

Responsibilities

- Works on all nursing communities in the Village Care Center.
- Must work where assigned throughout the care center.
