About The Position
Gateway Rehab Center is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse for its Center Township, Pennsylvania location. The schedule will vary. Nurses provide direct patient care, including administering medication and carrying out therapeutic treatments. The position is in an extended care facility treating people with substance use disorders.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a registered or practical nurse.
- CPR certification.
- Skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
- Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.
- Complete a Pennsylvania criminal background check.
- Obtain Pennsylvania Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Complete a 2-Step TB Test.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in the nursing field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications.
- Carry out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
- Document nursing observations and patient care rendered.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
- Coordinate with GRC departments as appropriate.
- Provide patient health education.
