About The Position

A nonexempt Licensed Practical Nurse position in the Primary Care Department in Deptford. The LPN provides nursing care under the supervision of physicians and the clinical services manager. The role may include basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, routine blood draws, immunizations, injections, point-of-care testing, and EKGs. Care must be consistent with Inspira policies and applicable external regulations and requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
• At least one year of LPN experience; clinical experience preferred.
• State-licensed practical nurse.
• American Heart Healthcare Provider CP.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and update and modify EMR records on a computer.
• Ability to understand medical charting and operate nursing equipment, including a stethoscope, EKG machine, ear-washing instruments, blood pressure cuff, and speculums.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
• Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
• Understanding of documentation standards.
• Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
• Understanding of basic laboratory procedures, including preparation and screening.
• Knowledge of infectious disease management and control and safety standards.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral medical orders.
• Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and performing blood draws.
