This is a part-time LPN position with night shifts. The role involves assisting with resident admissions, performing assessments, and contributing to the formulation of care plans. Key responsibilities include reassessing residents, documenting changes in condition, communicating progress to the oncoming shift, and administering medications and treatments. The LPN will also be responsible for obtaining and recording physician orders, taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting physicians with rounds. Additionally, the role involves monitoring resident intake and output, responding to call lights, and preparing residents for morticians. A significant part of the role includes supervising and directing nursing assistants, delegating tasks, and ensuring the quality of care provided by unlicensed personnel. The LPN will also be responsible for reporting unusual events and initiating incident reports.
