Services include: Skilled nursing, skilled therapy, medical social work and home health aide services. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in accordance with physician orders, agency policies, and applicable state and federal regulations. The LPN supports patient care through assessments, medication administration, treatments, patient education, and documentation while promoting patient safety, independence, and quality outcomes. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice or current practical nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held it must be in the nurse’s state of residence
  • Current CPR certification (AHA BLS) in 30 days
  • Must pass KDADS criminal record check upon hire
  • Must register and successfully pass the Family Care Safety Registry upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in accordance with physician orders, agency policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Supports patient care through assessments, medication administration, treatments, patient education, and documentation while promoting patient safety, independence, and quality outcomes.
