This position prepares and rooms patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information. The LPN performs laboratory procedures, assists providers with procedures and surgeries, and administers medications under physician/provider orders. They provide basic patient education, manage follow-through for tests and prescriptions, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks may be performed under supervision. The role also involves organizing and preparing exam rooms, maintaining equipment, and participating in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding growth and development principles.
