The LPN will prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information. They will perform laboratory procedures, assist physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administer medications under physician/provider orders. The LPN will also provide basic patient education, follow through with necessary requests, and communicate with physicians and the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks such as suture removal, catheterization, EKGs, and complex wound care may be performed. The role involves organizing and preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment. Patient positioning and transporting duties requiring lifting and pushing/pulling are also part of the role. Routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment will be performed. The LPN will participate in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities. This position requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding growth and development principles.
