This position prepares and rooms patients for examination by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information. The LPN performs laboratory procedures, assists physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administers medications under physician orders. They also provide basic patient education, manage procedure/test requests, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks such as suture removal, catheterization, and EKGs may be performed under supervision. The role involves organizing and preparing exam rooms, maintaining equipment, and participating in patient-centered initiatives. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate patient care and principles of growth and development.
