About The Position
The LPN assists the Registered Nurse in implementing the plan of care for a group of patients and functions in a technical role to provide quality patient care. The position contributes to nursing assessments by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data; provides direct care safely; and evaluates the plan of care continuously. The LPN communicates effectively with patients, families, and other health team members and participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery in the assigned area. The Associate models behavior aligned with MLH’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Requirements
- Technical degree or diploma in nursing.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Practical Nurse license in Tennessee from the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Positive working relationship and excellent interpersonal skills when working with physicians.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and schedule tasks and maintain control of own workflow.
- General PC skills.
- Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Good balance and coordination.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
