About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care in accordance with state licensure regulations. They are responsible for restocking of supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Missouri
  • BLS certification
  • Skill in taking vital signs
  • Skill in taking patient history
  • Attention to detail
  • Skill in patient education and instruction
  • Skill in multi-tasking
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Ability to maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
  • Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs

  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing program.
