About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a dynamic Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg / MST) unit. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports patient safety, care coordination, and quality outcomes while enhancing the overall patient experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Work experience in health care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes
- Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
- Support care plans and patient throughput
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance
- Document care in EMR/EHR systems
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly
