About The Position

Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified LPN to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma, WA. This is a Part Time position with 24-32 hours per week, offering some flexibility in scheduling within swing shift hours (3pm - 11pm). The role involves providing nursing and medical services and serving as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Requirements

  • Valid WA State Licensed Practical Nurse, or multi-state or compact licensure
  • One year work experience preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of psychotropic medications
  • Current CPR certification preferred (can be completed upon hire)
  • If role requires driving, must have valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and working vehicle.
  • Adhere to the incident reporting process and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.

  • Ability to apply appropriate codes to patient care services as outlined by program guidelines.
  • Compliance with competencies determined by Nursing Director.
  • Participate in competency trainings identified by Human Resources and assigned program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing and medical services to clients
  • Provide education regarding prescribed treatment
  • Document in the progress notes the provision of care and the clinical and behavioral observations of clients
  • Administer and document medications, adhering to state and program guidelines
  • Provide first aid and emergency medical care as needed, following program guidelines
  • Transcribe provider orders, following program protocols
  • Measure and document client vital signs
  • Other duties within the scope of practice as outlined by the Washington State Board of Nursing
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Maintain licensure, certification and other requirements for the position.
  • Observe and assess clients in terms of therapeutic response to medication and the nursing care plan.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living as appropriate
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting medical supplies, floor stock, and pharmacy communication.
  • Assist in all aspects of the laboratory specimen, collection and throughput.
  • Adhere to program’s infection control policy and protocols.
  • Plan and lead educational and information groups for clients as assigned.
  • Work to ensure effective communication among team members during and between shifts.
  • Coordinate with school and staff regarding outside medical appointments and activities.
  • Transport and attend medical appointments with residents
  • Work with team members to create and contribute to a positive learning environment for all
