About The Position
The LPN Wellness Nurse assists and supports the Resident Services Director with the implementation, delivery, and coordination of nursing services in the community. The role provides care and support to residents and their families, promotes resident wellness, and helps oversee and train care associates.
Requirements
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse to practice in the state.
- Two years of full-time or full-time-equivalent clinical experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
- Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.
Nice To Haves
- Experience and/or a special interest in working with older adults.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications.
- Provide direct care and services to residents.
- Provide teaching and wellness counseling.
- Promote health.
- Participate in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN).
- Support residents and families.
- Oversee Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Train associates and audit care.
- Complete monthly in-service training as required.
