About The Position
Legacy Healthcare Center in St. Louis, Missouri, has a full-time opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role focuses on delivering quality resident care by ensuring safety and meeting residents’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and medical needs, while providing strong leadership and excellent customer service. The LPN coordinates health care needs, evaluates and enhances program services, and delivers care through the nursing process in accordance with state laws and regulations and the community’s philosophy. Responsibilities must remain within the state’s Scope of Practice and meet federal and state standards. The position also provides personal care, support, supervision, and evaluation, promoting residents’ physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being.
Requirements
- Perform responsibilities within the state’s Scope of Practice.
- Follow applicable state laws and regulations, federal and state standards, and the community’s philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer medications in accordance with infection-control and safety guidelines.
- Document care accurately in resident charts.
- Receive and process physician orders.
- Manage new admissions and discharges.
- Make rounds to ensure resident safety and address residents’ needs.
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Coordinate residents’ health care needs and provide personal care, support, supervision, and evaluation.
- Evaluate and enhance program services while delivering care through the nursing process.
