About The Position

Alto Overland Park is seeking dependable PRN and Part-Time LPNs to fill consistent weekly shifts in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. With 1–2 permanent openings per week, this is a reliable source of supplemental income for an LPN who wants flexible hours at a competitive rate — without the demands of a full-time schedule. The responsibility of the Wellness Nurse (WN) is to supervise delivery of care and services to residents. In achieving this goal, the WN performs procedures within the guidelines of all state and local regulations and accepted standards of care. Ongoing communication between the WN, associates, the residents and their families, professional consultants, and third-party providers is critical to the welfare of the residents.

Requirements

Active Kansas LPN license or Compact LPN license — required
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
CPR/AED certified.
Must have at least one (1) year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

Assisted Living, Memory Care, or senior living experience — preferred
Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical oversight and nursing care across our Assisted Living and Memory Care community
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
Monitor resident health and respond promptly to changes in condition
Support and mentor caregiving staff throughout your shift
Be the dependable clinical presence our residents and team count on
Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting the residents needs and monitor the condition of residents in AL.
Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
Provide resident care according to health care providers orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of resident care, respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required.
