About The Position
Alice Hyde Medical Center is part of University of Vermont Health, a six-hospital network serving patients and their families in Northern New York and Vermont. The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, provision of supportive and restorative care, administering medication(s), and provide nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician or other health care provider. This is a bargaining union position.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) qualification
- Accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, provision of supportive and restorative care, administering medication(s), and provide nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician or other health care provider.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring that Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision
- Supervise certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel
- Provide supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit health care team and services
