About The Position
Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Urgent Care team. The hospital is a 131-bed community hospital that has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- IV certification upon hire (state specific)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family
- Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting
