This role involves assisting patients in achieving their health goals through a prescribed plan of care, ensuring patient advocacy, privacy, safety, and confidentiality. The position requires maintaining current knowledge and skills, adapting to changing demands, and actively participating in daily team huddles to review schedules and assign follow-up tasks. Responsibilities include pre-visit preparations, such as ensuring patients complete necessary paperwork and tests, and reviewing test results. The role also encompasses environmental responsibilities like setting up equipment, maintaining infection control through cleaning, ordering and restocking supplies. Clinical duties include taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, verifying prescriptions, managing biohazard waste, performing laboratory procedures according to OSHA and CLIA-waived guidelines, venipuncture, specimen handling, EKG testing, administering immunizations and injections, and monitoring supplies. The LPN will also coordinate with CMH hospital departments as needed. Additionally, the role requires effective participation as a member of the healthcare team, treating all individuals with courtesy and respect, and providing constructive feedback. Financial responsibilities include effective time management, participating in performance improvement activities, efficient resource utilization, and prudent use of hospital property and supplies. Health Information Management responsibilities involve offering and receiving feedback, improving practice based on feedback, and ensuring patient information privacy and confidentiality.
