LPN Unit Manager (Full-Time)
About The Position
Sutton Park Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a strong Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Manager. Our LPN Unit Manager must have demonstrated leadership skills and clinical abilities and is enthusiastic and passionate about working in healthcare. Skilled nursing facility experience is preferred. Responsible for directing and supervising resident care by current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, facilities policies, and as directed by the Director of Nursing to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times. Direct the daily routine functioning of the nursing staff by assuring the overall supervision of all nursing personnel concerned with the resident care and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership skills and clinical abilities
- Enthusiastic and passionate about working in healthcare
- Experience in nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience in a long-term care setting
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing facility experience is preferred
- Experience in Sigma Care EMR a plus
