About The Position
The Arbor is a 60-bed skilled nursing facility seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing team full-time. This position is ideal for a nurse who is organized, detail-oriented, and has an interest in wound care, skin integrity, and providing quality resident care.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Mississippi LPN License
- Dependable with good communication skills
- Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Wound care experience preferred, but training will be provided
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Complete wound care and treatments according to physician/provider orders
- Monitor residents for changes in skin integrity
- Complete and document wound treatments and changes
- Ensure treatments are completed and accurately documented
- Notify the appropriate provider and nursing leadership of new or worsening skin concerns
- Follow infection prevention and wound care practices
- Collaborate with the DON, nursing staff, providers, and wound care professionals
- Assist with treatment-related care planning and documentation
