Requirements

  • Current state licensure as an LPN in good standing.
  • Must be able to work the clinical floor.
  • Shared vision with the team, focused on providing excellent clinical care.
  • Present a positive attitude each day that will help foster an environment focused on continued improvement to meet team members, residents and families’ needs and expectations.
  • Skilled Nursing management experience is required.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year college or university degree desired.
  • Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision of and direct resident care.
  • Performs duties of a front-line supervisor to other Healthcare Team Members including CNA's.
  • Performs professional and restorative nursing services for residents.
  • Keeps timely documentation of written and verbal reports.
  • Ensures that all medications are dispensed, and treatments are performed according to orders and that charges are handled appropriately.
  • Makes rounds on a regular basis assessing the health and mental status for each resident during the shift.
  • Assists physicians during rounds.
  • Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Managing patients' electronic records and documents.
  • Interacting with doctors, patients and family members.
  • Implementing and overseeing infection control, pharmaceutical regimens and nursing policies & procedures.
  • Recruitment and retention of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
  • Key contributor to the QAPI process.
  • Managing and maintaining census growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
