LPN SPECIALIST - UROLOGY - FULL TIME
About The Position
This position involves identifying and evaluating patient needs through telephone triage, administering medications including injections, and documenting all medical information as required by the ordering physician. The LPN Specialist is responsible for identifying and providing patient and family education, and for recognizing and responding to emergency situations appropriately. Adherence to Clinical Services policies and procedures for medical record documentation is essential. The role also includes facilitating patient flow to maintain the integrity of the physician's office and assisting the physician with medical office procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

- Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
- Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records
- Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
- Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
- Maintain the integrity of the office.
