About The Position

Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss healthcare with patients, and report the status of patients to registered nurses and providers.

Requirements

• LPN Specialist: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license.
• LPN Specialist: One (1) year prior experience in OB/GYN required.
• LPN Specialist: CPR certification.
• Medical Assistant Specialist: High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Specialist: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Specialist: Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Medical Assistant Specialist: Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• LPN Specialist: two (2) years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
• Applies principles of fetal growth and development in his/her daily practice.
• Set up rooms and trays for scheduled procedures.
• Assist provider with clinic procedures.
• Administer medications and/or vaccines as needed.
• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Recognizes and responds appropriately to OB/GYN emergencies.
• Adheres to Nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in the patient’s medical record.
• Is an active member of the care team and may include additional duties related to care coordination.
