About The Position

Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.

Requirements

  • For LPN Specialist: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
  • For LPN Specialist: Active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • For Medical Assistant Specialist: High school diploma or GED.
  • For Medical Assistant Specialist: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
  • For Medical Assistant Specialist: Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • For Medical Assistant Specialist: Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • For LPN Specialist: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
  • Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
  • Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
  • Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records
  • Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
  • Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
  • Maintain the integrity of the office.
