About The Position

Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss healthcare with patients, and report the status of patients to registered nurses and providers.

Requirements

Must be an LPN or a Medical Assistant.
For LPN Specialist: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
For LPN Specialist: Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
For Medical Assistant Specialist: High school diploma or GED.
For Medical Assistant Specialist: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
For Medical Assistant Specialist: Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
For Medical Assistant Specialist: Current BLS certification or to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Gyn-Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical records.
Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
Maintains the integrity of the office.
Assists with the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician office and assists the physician with medical office procedures as needed.
Assists with hospital procedures and/or surgeries and coordinates scheduling surgical procedures.
