About The Position

This role is for an LPN or a Medical Assistant who will be responsible for various patient care and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be adept at telephone triage, medication administration, patient education, and assisting physicians. This position requires adherence to clinical policies and procedures, facilitating patient flow, and maintaining the integrity of the medical office.

Requirements

• For LPN Specialist: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• For LPN Specialist: Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• For Medical Assistant Specialist: High school diploma or GED.
• For Medical Assistant Specialist: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• For Medical Assistant Specialist: Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

• For LPN Specialist: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Additional Qualification: 1 Year experience in primary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.
